Dr. Thomas A. Kedersha, M.D. F.A.C.S
As a young man, Tom Kedersha’s dream was to become a marine biologist. But his college studies were interrupted by the Vietnam War, and his life took a new direction. After serving as a medic to injured soldiers, Dr. Kedersha knew that he was called to be a physician and that the talents he had been given were best used in surgery.
Dr. Kedersha received his medical degree from Autonomous University of Guadalajara, in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1978. He served externships during his medical training at Whitestone General Hospital, Queens; John Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas; and Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, New Jersey. His internship was served at Muhlenberg Hospital, in Plainfield, New Jersey. Dr. Kedersha completed his residency in General Surgery at Monmouth Medical Center from 1978 to 1984, and was appointed to the surgical staff at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
In 1985 Dr. Kedersha was granted attending staff privileges at Point Pleasant Hospital. He was board certified in 1988, and now has a combined practice in general and vascular surgery.
Dr. Kedersha has a genuine care for the patient’s total well-being. The office staff is sensitive to the patient’s anxiety preceding surgery and during recovery.
